Hi from Finnish Lapland ✨

Hey Alex! Living up north in Finnish Lapland looks like an absolute dream with all the snow and those long winters. When does the snow usually start falling, and what do you love most about the winter season up north?
Usually, we get the first snow in October and it lasts till May. Can you imagine living in a winter wonderland for such a long time? For outdoorsy girls like me, it’s an absolute dream. I go snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing 7 months in a row. Lapland isn’t just a place, it’s a lifestyle! Eivy clothing helps me stay warm during all my winter activities 🩵

We’ve heard it gets quite dark during the winter months tho – how is that and what’s your best tip for keeping the spirit up during those darkest days?
Well, yeah. To be honest, when you live up north the sunlight is the most beautiful thing you cherish haha! But even during some gloomy days there’s something magical about life in the Arctic. When Polar Night comes it’s important to stay active and get outside to do winter stuff like snowboarding or winter hiking in the woods with your friends. I love wearing colorful pieces from Eivy during these days. They help me stay positive and happy during the darkest times. But I truly appreciate Polar night time cause only during this period you can see all those pink and blue colors up in the sky! Just like my favorite outfits from Eivy 🩷🩵

We’ve seen your amazing outdoor cooking setup, any must-try recipes for winter camping you’d recommend?
Thank you! I love outdoor cooking. It’s fun, it’s challenging and it’s something that brings my friends together cause they love my food 😄
One of my fave recipes is open fire pancakes with Lappish cheese and cloudberry jam (I make it myself every summer 😋)

What’s the one Eivy piece you will bring along on all your up-and-coming snow adventures?
That’s a tough question! Well, I wouldn’t survive winters here without my base layers from Eivy haha! When the temperatures drop to -20 degrees you definitely need right equipment to stay warm and dry! I’m currently loving my new Merino wool base layer! I’m basically living in it during winter months 😄🥶 It’s perfect for every occasion whether I go snowshoeing in the woods, outdoor cooking with my friends or go free ride snowboarding in local national parks. Eivy is my multiFUNctional best friend 🫶🏽 😌
